HONORING SACRIFICES—Two Memorial Day ceremonies in Moorpark last Monday celebrated service members who gave their lives during wartime. At Tierra Rejada Park, the Rotary Club of Moorpark Morning staged Field of Valor by placing 104 American flags in memory of those who died in conflict. Below, PJ Gagajena, assistant city manager, affixes a service member’s name to one of the flagpoles. At bottom, 22 flags honored local deceased military. Bottom left, Noah Garcia of Boy Scout Troop 604 helps with the changing of the colors during a public observance at Veterans Memorial Park.
