New bus line connects Moorpark, Simi Valley
Passengers from Moorpark City Transit and Simi Valley Transit are now able to transfer between the two services at Villa del Arroyo Mobile Home Estates in Moorpark.
Simi Valley Transit Route B has begun service to this location, where Moorpark City Transit Route 1 already provides service.
From here Simi Valley passengers can use Moorpark City Transit Route 1 to travel to Moorpark College, the Metrolink/Amtrak Station, Moorpark City Hall/Active Adult Center/Library and many city shopping centers.
Passengers who wish to travel to Moorpark Marketplace on Los Angeles Avenue at the 23 Freeway can transfer to Moorpark City Transit Route 2 at Moorpark College.
Passengers transferring to Simi Valley Transit Route B can travel as far as Yosemite Avenue. They can also stop at the Simi Valley Metrolink Station and transfer to Route C which goes as far as the Chatsworth Metrolink Station. Transfers to other Simi Valley routes are also availablel.
Passengers transferring between the two systems will pay the respective fare for each route. Fare per trip for Moorpark City Transit is $1 for students and adults, and 50 cents for seniors and disabled. Fare per trip for Simi Valley Transit is $1.25 for students and adults, and 50 cents for seniors and disabled. Exact change or a Go Ventura Bus Pass is required
Passenger wait times at the Villa del Arroyo transfer point vary depending on the time of day. Passengers should review the bus schedules for specific transfer times.
Moorpark City Transit operates Monday through Friday, except for certain holidays. Simi Valley Transit operates Monday through Saturday, except for certain holidays.
