Free Clinic to offer flu shots
      The Free Clinic of Simi Valley will host its annual Make A Difference Day, where residents can receive free flu shots, health screenings and information about the clinic’s services, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 24 at the Free Clinic, 2060 Tapo Street, Simi Valley.  The following services will be offered.

Benefit needs volunteers
      The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is seeking volunteers for its 18th annual Holiday Homes Tour set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., Dec. 5 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sun., Dec. 6. The self-guided tour is the cancer support organization’s largest fundraiser of the year. The event committee is seeking residents to serve as ticket-takers and in-house docents on both tour days.

Orthodontist to buy back Halloween bounty
      Dr. Yossi Bar-Zion and the staff of Bar-Zion Orthodontics in Moorpark will buy back the candy children receive from Halloween trick or treating. Between 9 to 11 a.m. Sun., Nov. 1, the office will purchase candy at $1 per pound up to the first 200 pounds, and 50 cents per pound thereafter until the money runs out. The candy will be donated to a local charity.
