Sheriff's Blotter Thieves stole property from a trailer in the 5500 block of Balcom Canyon Road. Aug. 28 Someone stole $2,000 from a resident of a home on Peppermill Street. Sept. 2 Burglars stole items from a property on Cornett Avenue. The value of the loss was not declared. Sept. 3 Police arrested a man who went to the police station on Spring Road to retrieve a car that had been impounded because he had three outstanding warrants. Thieves stole items from a car parked in the 5300 block of Kazuko Court. Two people were cited for alleged domestic violence in the 4700 block of Moorpark Avenue. A 33-year-old man was arrested for lying and trying to evade police at an undisclosed location in Moorpark. Sept. 4 Police apprehended a man who resisted authorities on Robinwood Lane. Vandals caused more than $400 in damage to a car parked in the 500 block of Spring Road. A man trespassing on private property at the north end of Wicks Road was arrested for drunk driving. He had no license but was also had an outstanding warrant. Someone stole a purse on Endeavor Court and used a credit card inside to make a purchase. Vandals spray painted property on Harry Street, causing under $400 in damage. Authorities arrested a man who was driving under the influence of alcohol at an undisclosed location in Moorpark. Sept. 5 Someone tried to break into a car parked on Science Drive. Police cited a 49-year-old man for driving on a suspended license at an undisclosed location in Moorpark. Someone broke into a commercial building in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Somebody was arrested on the eastbound 118 Freeway, east of Collins Drive, for driving under the influence of marijuana. Police also found drugs belonging to one of the passengers in the vehicle. Sept. 6 Police arrested a man who was driving while intoxicated in the 200 block of Los Angeles Avenue. The man possessed a substance believed to be methamphetamine and prescription drugs and had an outstanding warrant. His bail was set at $30,000. A man was arrested for violating a restraining order and trying to steal items from someone on Majestic Court. Thieves stole items valued at $200 from a victim in the 11200 block of Red Barn Road. Someone was arrested on Loyola Street for alleged domestic violence. |
