Celebrated photographer, Moorpark College alumnus will share life’s work

Photographer and Moorpark College alumnus Dan Winters will present a talk on his career at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 25 at the Moorpark College Forum, 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.

He is appearing at Professor John Gray’s invitation in conjunction with the publishing of Winter’s book “Periodical Photographs,” released by the Aperture Foundation. His book displays portraits of celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Denzel Washington, Bono, Eminem and Willie Nelson.

Winters studied at Moorpark College under Gray in the early 1980s. He is world renowned as an editorial photographer and shoots regularly for Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, The New Yorker and The New York Times Maga zine. He is the recipient of more than 100 awards, including the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for magazine photography and a World Press Photo Award.
