Band to play old time rock ‘n’ roll in Simi Valley
      Ronny and the Classics will perform at 8 p.m. tonight, Sept. 4, at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave. The band presents an evening full of high energy rocknroll classics and hilarious stage antics. Featuring the best of the 50s, 60s, 70s and more, the show is suitable for families.

Pen a play for one-act fest
      The Elite Theatre Company in Oxnard will host its 2010 OneAct Festival Jan. 8 through Feb. 7. The event is a fundraiser for the theater. The festival is seeking oneact plays 10 to 20 minutes in length with minimal sets, light, sound and props. Four or five plays will be selected for production. Entry deadline is Nov. 30.
