VISTA bus schedule has changed

The Ventura County Transportation Commission has announced new schedules for the VISTA buses effective immediately.

The changes should improve commute options in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

VISTA Hwy. 101 route week days . A number of minor time changes should improve connections with other buses and adjust for traffic congestion.

To reduce travel times and improve transfers with Gold Coast Transit, the Highway 101 stop at Ventura County Government Center will be moved to the Gold Coast Transit stops on Victoria Avenue near Telephone Road.

VISTA Hwy. 101 route Sat urday . To improve travel times to The Oaks mall, Saturday 101 buses will no longer stop at the Thousand Oaks Transit Center.

VISTA Conejo Connection . This bus will no longer stop at Las Posas Park and Ride in Camarillo, but most trips will stop at the Camarillo Metrolink station instead.

VISTA 126 . A number of minor time changes will improve connections with other buses and adjust for traffic congestion.

The first westbound bus of the day will leave Fillmore 10 minutes earlier to provide a connection with the Highway 101 route.

VISTA East County . A number of minor time changes will improve connections with other buses and adjust for traffic congestion.

Commute hour stops will be added at the Park and Ride near Farmers Insurance, Cochran Street near Galena Avenue, Simi Valley.

Commute hour stops will be added at Amgen, Amgen Court at W. Hillcrest Drive and Conejo Industrial Park in Thousand Oaks.

To reduce travel times, these stops will be deleted:

•The first southbound morning trip stops at Moorpark College and Princeton and Amherst.

•The first two morning southbound Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library stops.

•The Westlake/Townsgate stops at 4:10 and 5:47 p.m.

Passengers needing to travel to or from the Thousand Oaks stops can use the Thousand Oaks Transit buses.
