Family offering reward for return of stolen dragon
This is a very exciting time. I am a lifelong Moorpark resident and just graduated from The High School @ Moorpark College in May. My parent's 25th anniversary is later this year.
My family decided it was time to take our dream vacation to Hawaii, two full weeks, no expenses spared.
A few months before our departure my mom and I started looking for a place to care for our exotic reptiles while we were gone. One is a tan and yellow bearded dragon named Sanora (see photo at right).
She is a sweet, loving, intelligent animal. The other was a tropical green anole named Joe. Finally we settled on a pet store in Simi Valley, which we had previously boarded with. We made sure they were prepared to take care of our pets, and they assured us they were.
With a lingering feeling of uneasiness for the part of the family we left behind, we went on our vacation. There we had a wonderful time until a call from the store came bearing devastating news.
He was calling to inform us that our anole had died, and the bearded dragon was stolen just one day after we left. The anole was old so this was understandable, but having Sanora stolen was unbelievable.
This is not just any pet that was stolen; she was a beloved member of the family, which I raised since she was a baby. The only thing I want is to get her back safe.
Although it has been almost three weeks, I still have hope of her return; there is a $500 reward for her safe return.
