The Ventura County EastWest All-Star Football Game will be played Saturday at 6 p.m. at Moorpark High.

Ventura Downtown Lions Club sponsors the event, which is in its 36th year.

Calabasas' Lance Martin will coach the East squad. Cliff Farrar of Buena leads the West.

Martin, who's played and served as an assistant in the All-Star showcase, said the East has been practicing for parts of three weeks.

"Everyone loves football," Martin said. "This game sort of culminates a senior year and a lot of hard work guys have put in."

In last year's game, the West prevailed, 29-10.
