Children are invited to develop their literacy skills by reading aloud to trained and registered therapy dogs from the Paws 4 Healing Inc. READ program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., June 10 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

Paws 4 Healing is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization. The teams provide animalassisted activity and therapy for healthcare facilities, schools and other social agencies.

The program is offered every second and fourth Wednesday of the month in the Children's Story Corner.
