Sheriff's Blotter Police arrested a 38-year-old woman April 27 who allegedly assaulted a police officer and made suicidal statements. The incident occurred on Villageview Court. Thieves stole a credit card May 11 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue. The victim reported that the culprits purchased gas using the stolen card on May 18. Someone caused $1,500 in damages to a car parked on East Mesa Verde Drive on May 11. On May 11 a person was charged with felony for embezzling money from his employer in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Someone made fraudulent purchases May 14 using stolen credit cards belonging to six different victims. On May 16 police arrested a 25yearold man who caused a disturbance at Moorpark High School. His bail was set at $7,500. Police arrested a woman who had an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop May 17 at the corner of High and Walnut streets. She was also driving on a suspended license. Her bail was set at $10,000. A thief who possessed stolen merchandise taken from a drugstore was arrested in the 100 block of Los Angeles Avenue on May 17. Police cited a 37-year-old woman May 18 for providing false information. The incident occurred during a traffic stop at an undisclosed location in Moorpark. On May 18 a man was arrested at an undisclosed location in Moorpark for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana. Vandals caused more than $400 in damages spray painting graffiti May 19 on a property in the 400 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Thieves pried the rear serve door of a restaurant in the 13800 block of Princeton Avenue May 20 to steal a bank deposit bag containing about $500 in cash. Vandals smashed a window and glass door to steal property from two classrooms at Mesa Verde Middle School May 20. Somebody caused less than $400 in damages on May 20 for spray painting property in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. On May 21 police arrested a man who allegedly conspired to create a disturbance to promote a known gang. The incident occurred at Peach Hill and Spring roads. His bail was set at more than $120,000. Vandals caused less then $400 in damages spray painting the Tipsy Fox liquor store at the corner of Spring Road and High Street on May 21. Culprits also spay painted Randy's Tires business nearby that same day. |
