The Moorpark High School Band Program will host four grand finale concerts this month. The series will include a tribute and farewell event honoring school band director Robert Hackett.

On Tues., May 19 the Drumline and Color Guard will feature their winter competition programs. The free event will take place at the high school's new gym at 6:30 p.m. and include performances by percussion ensembles and a jazz combo.

On Wed. and Thurs., May 20 and 21, the concert bands and Marching Musketeers will host their grand finale performances at 6:30 p.m. in the Moorpark High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

MHS music program alumni are especially invited to attend Thursday's concert, which will feature a special performances and speeches recognizing Hackett, organizers said.

On Fri., May 29 the school jazz bands will return to the Performing Arts Center to host a grand finale at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

All funds raised will benefit a senior scholarship fund. Moorpark High School is at 4500 Tierra Rejada Road.
