Legion auxiliary selects student for Girls State

The Moorpark American Legion Auxiliary has selected Caitlin Chrans as a representative to Girls State, a civics and government program that brings together high school girls from across the state to Sacramento to participate in civics education and mock government activities.

The auxiliary sponsors a scholarship program for applicants.

Caitlin is a student at Moorpark High School and the daughter of Steve and Tami Chrans.

She participates in cross country, track and field, basketball, National Honor Society, Active Citizens of Today, the Verdict and Special Needs Ministries.
