The Moorpark City Council is seeking youths to apply for a one-year term ending June 30, 2010 on the Moorpark Teen Council.

The Teen Council consists of seven to 11 members who are Moorpark teens entering seventh to 12th grades in the fall.

One representative is selected from each grade level and the remaining members as representatives at large. Special attention is given to ensure that all city middle schools and high schools are represented on the council.

All representatives must be Moorpark city residents and enrolled in school.

The Teen Council meets one to two times per month beginning in September and assists the recreation/community services manager and recreation leader with planning and implementing teen programs.

Applications may be obtained at City Hall, Moorpark City Library, Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, Moorpark High School, Moorpark Community High School, The High School at Moorpark College, Chaparral Middle School, Mesa Verde Middle School, and at www .ci.moorpark.ca.us.

Applications must be submitted to the city clerk at City Hall. Application deadline is 5 p.m. Fri., May 8.
