The Moorpark Active Adult Center Photo Contest is seeking entries from adults ages 55 and up.

Photo categories are nature/ landscape, animals/pets, candid kids, around the word and Moorpark moments.

Applicants are allowed to enter one entry in three of the categories and may not resubmit previous photo winners. Applicants must have taken the photo themselves.

Pictures must be no smaller than 5 by 7 inches and must not be on any backing or mounting.

Ribbons will be awarded in each category along with a Viewer's Choice award.

Photos will be judged by local photographers Cary Shapiro, Yogi Patel, Kimberlee Miller and Julie Campbell.

Entries are due by 4 p.m. Fri., July 17 and may be dropped off at the center, 799 Moorpark Ave.

The photo exhibit will be from July 23 to 29.
