Local Boy Scouts earn top rank
ON EAGLES' WINGS—Boy Scouts from two Varsity Crews receive their Eagle Scout rank at a recent Court of Honor. New Eagle Scouts from Boy Scouts of America Varsity Crews 9707 and 9750 received their medals in a recent Court of Honor. Their Eagle service projects were as follows.
Jake Mathews of Moorpark built a freestanding bulletin/announcement board for Arroyo West Elementary School in Moorpark.
Derek Nielsen of Moorpark painted and fireproofed a performing arts stage for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints facility in Thousand Oaks.
Andrew Sorensen of Santa Rosa built and painted a fence and made repairs to an existing fence for the YMCA in Thousand Oaks.
Jeremy London of Moorpark collected 1,150 pounds of pinto beans, built a receiving area kiosk, and sorted food donations for FOOD Share of Ventura County.
Logan Rahn of Santa Rosa repaired trails and built railroad tie steps for the Thousand Oaks YMCA.
Clayton Williams of Moorpark made 200 care bags with blankets, toys, and toiletries for Aspira Foster and Family Services of Camarillo.
