Free course to discuss mental illness

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Ventura County will offer a free, 12-week course titled "Family to Family" from 6:30 to 9 p.m. starting March 9 at the Center for Spiritual Living, 1756 Erringer Road, Ste. 100, Simi Valley.

The course is taught by a team of trained NAMI family member volunteers who know what it's like to have a loved one struggling with a brain disorders.

The program is for family members, partners and friends of individuals with major depression, bipolar disorder (manic depression), schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, or co-occurring brain disorders and addictive disorders.
