Original musical at high school

The students at Moorpark High School will present an original studentwritten musical, "Abracadabra," at 7 p.m. tonight, Jan. 16 at the school's Performing Arts Center, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road.

The 60 students in the cast and crew began writing the musical in early September and were rehearsing by October.

The show is described as the story of "a group of young campers magically transported to dimensions more absurd, scary, and Disney-esque than the Twilight Zone itself."

Rachel Axelrad and Chelsea Maccani are the show's choreographers.

Tickets at the door are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
