Home tour will raise funds for accident victim
The Freethinkers of Ventura County will host a home tour fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., Jan. 25. Charlotte Poe, club founder and president, will offer tours of her 17,500squarefoot home in Somis, accompanied by light refreshments.
The event is to raise funds for 16-year-old Christian Kingsley, grandson of club member Stuart Kingsley. Christian was left paralyzed during a motorcycle ride. He is undergoing intensive rehabilitative therapy, and medical insurance will cover only a portion of the treatment. The family will also need to purchase a wheelchairaccessible van and make modifications to their home.
Admission to the home tour is a minimum donation of $25.
A ticket/tax receipt and driving directions will be e-mailed to persons who send a donation and e-mail address to National Transplant Assistance Fund, in honor of Christian Kingsley, c/ o FTVC, P.O. Box 346, Somis, CA 93066.
