Theater camp to present 'Beauty & Beast'
Scholarships available for youths to participate

The High Street Arts Center, in association with Gypsy Productions, will present the 2008 Summer Musical Theater Camp for youths ages 7 to 15. The camp will culminate with four performances of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast."

Cast auditions are June 20 with rehearsals beginning June 23 at the California Dance Theater, 5863 Kanan Road, Agoura Hills.

Performances are July 24 through 26 at the High Street Arts Center, 45 E. High St., Moorpark.

The play is based on the Academy Awardwinning animated film and includes songs written for the film as well as the additional songs penned for the Broadway production.

The arts center will sponsor five scholarships worth $725 each to applicants chosen at random. Scholarship winners will fully participate in the program, including all auditions, rehearsals and performances.

Scholarship applicants must be full-time residents of Moorpark and must have the permission of a parent or guardian.
