Notre Dame football coach to give talk

The public is invited by the Notre Dame Club of Ventura County to a chalk talk luncheon with University of Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thurs., May 8 at the Ventura Beach Marriott, 2055 E. Harbor Blvd., Ventura.

The cost is $50. Current dues-paying club members may attend a private meet-and-greet reception with Weis at 11:30 a.m. for an additional $10.

The event includes a sealed bid auction and drawing, each for a photo and signed football from Weis. All funds raised will benefit the club's scholarship fund.
