Foundation invites community to open forum

The Ventura County Community Foundation will host "Open Wednesdays" from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wed., April 23 at Moorpark Chamber of Commerce, 18 High St., Moorpark.

"Open Wednesdays" is a 10city community conversation throughout Ventura County, engaging local nonprofits, donors, community leaders and elected officials around key community priorities for future grant making.

The event provides an opportunity for community leaders to share with VCCF how priorities around key issues such as education, healthcare, development and work force training, nonprofit capacity and stability, youth leadership, the arts, nursing, scholarships for college and the work force, and other priorities should be reflected in the foundation's programs.

The foundation is updating its strategic planning goals and believes that input from each community is critical.
