Players welcomed for Video Game Festival

Moorpark College will host its second annual Video Game Festival and LAN Party at 6 p.m. tonight, Fri., April 18 in the LMC (Life Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science) Building on campus, 7075 Campus Road.

The event will include six tournaments played on X-Box 360 and Wii game consoles and PC games configured for multiplayer gaming in an LAN environment.

The event is for high school and college students and is free. Last year's event had 150 players.

Faculty will provide food and speakers will share information about training and career opportunities in the video game industry.
