Arts fest to feature photo essay

The results of the "My Home Town" Photography Project will be displayed from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Moorpark Civic Center, 799 Moorpark Ave., during the Moorpark Arts Festival on Sun., May 4.

The project features photographs taken by Moorpark students and adults who answered a list of questions about the city with pictures. Nineteen photographers used similar disposable cameras to snap their impressions of the changing face of the city as well as the faces of those within the community.

The arts festival will also include welded sculptures by Shannon L. Lundberg, pottery wheel demonstrations, gourd art, fine art exhibit, children's art activities, library events, and live music performances.
