Moorpark Chabad to host Passover Seder

Residents of Moorpark and surrounding areas are invited to an authentic public Passover Seder at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Sat., April 19 at Chabad Jewish Center of Camarillo, 5800 Santa Rosa Road, Ste. 112 in Camarillo.

A second Seder will be held at 8 p.m. Sun., April 20 at a private residence. Room discounts are available for those who wish to stay in the Marriott Hotel.

All Jews, regardless of affiliation or background, are encouraged to participate in an evening that includes the Mah Nish Tanah, traditional handmade Matzah, four cups of wine, dialogue, and a kosher Passover meal.

The theme of the Seder will be how to overcome the limitations prevalent in society today.

"The concept of 'freedom' is needed and relevant in America now more than ever," said Rabbi Shimy Heidingsfeld, director of Chabad of Moorpark. "Passover is the ideal time to celebrate freedom. This Seder will focus on being liberated from the daily challenges and tribulations that bind and confine us by encouraging personal growth and self development."

"This is an exciting opportunity to meet new people, share and enjoy great food," said Devorah Heidingsfeld, Seder coordinator. "The Seder meals will be interactive, warm and vibrant, interspersed with lively discussion through group participation as well as individual involvement."

The fee for each Seder is $18 per adult and $10 per child. Sponsored discounts are available. Reservations are requested as soon as possible.

To receive a free Passover guide or handmade Shmura Matza, or to make Seder reservations, call (805) 807-8684, e-mail Seder@JewishMoorpark.com or visit www.JewishMoorpark.com/ passover.
