College fair helps students, parents prepare for higher education Moorpark High School will host the ninth annual College Fair and Workshops on Wed., April 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the new high school gym, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road. The fair is free and open to students and parents from any high school or college. The event will feature representatives from two- and fouryear colleges/universities, trade schools, military academies, and companies with information on SAT or ACT tutoring. The workshops, which start at 7:30 and 8 p.m., will cover the college search and interview process, financial aid, preparing for the ACT and SAT, transferring from a two year to a four year university, and information about the University of California and California State Universities. A special program "College-Making it Happen," for students who will be attending ninth grade next year, will start at 6 p.m. in the high school's Educational Center on the same date.
