'Full Monty' takes the stage in Simi Valley

Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center presents the Americanized version of the musical "The Full Monty" from Sat., April 19 though May 25 at the theater, 3050 Los Angeles Ave.

Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

The musical is based on the Academy Award-winning movie of the same name. Six financially strapped steelworkers from Buffalo, NY become male strippers to earn money for their families. Music and lyrics are by David Yazbek and book by Terrence McNally.

Fred Helsel and David Ralphe are co-directors, Seth Kamenow is choreographer, and Gary Poirot will serve as musical director for this production.

The cast includes Bobby Dantona, Austin Miller, Michael Brown, Bonnie Sludikoff, David Daniels, Elizabeth Stockton, Sean Harrington, Elissa Wagner, Kristan Cleto, Nick Ferguson, Eric Harris, Kathleen Silverman, Corey Slack, David Bloom, Cory Fromm, Scott Gilbert, Claudia StoneSheppard, Megan Tisler, and Dawn Notogiacomo.

The show contains adult language and situations and is not recommended for children.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors and students.
