Youths needed for Teen Council
The Moorpark City Council is seeking interested persons to serve on the Moorpark Teen Council for a oneyear term ending June 30, 2009.

The Teen Council consists of no less than seven and no more than 11 Moorpark teens entering seventh to 12th grade in the fall. One representative is selected from each grade level and the remaining members are representatives at large.

All representatives must be Moorpark city residents and be enrolled in school. Special attention is given to ensure that all middle schools and high schools in Moorpark have some representation on the Teen Council.

Members typically do not serve for more than three years on the council.

The Teen Council will meet one to two times per month beginning in September and will assist the Recreation/Community Services Manager and Recreation Leader with planning and implementing teen programs.

Applications may be obtained at City Hall, Moorpark City Library, Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, Moorpark High School, Moorpark Community High School, The High School at Moorpark College, Chaparral Middle School and Mesa Verde Middle School or downloaded from www.ci.moorpark.ca.us.

Applications must be submitted to the city clerk at City Hall and must be received no later than 5 p.m. Fri., May 2.
