Boys & Girls club CEO shares dictionaries

Campus Canyon third-graders received Gazetteer dictionaries from the Moorpark Rotary Club this week.

Scott Moser presented the students with the dictionaries. The children found the longest word (1,909 letters), as well as information about Braille, the solar system and flags, in addition to other words. Several students kept the dictionaries with them during recess so that they could continue to read them during playtime.

The Rotary Club sponsors the dictionary project every year. Students receive a personal copy to use in classroom projects in the third-grade curriculum and for years thereafter, according to a club spokesperson
