Sheriff's Blotter

An identity theft took place sometime between Feb.12 and 23 in the 8300 block of Fruitvale Avenue. Two credit cards were removed from a victim's wallet and were used to purchase items in Moorpark and Thousand Oaks.

In a sting operation by the sheriff's department on March 7 several stores in Moorpark were cited for selling alcohol to a minor. Among those cited were stores in the first block of Los Angeles Avenue, the 300 block of Los Angeles Avenue, the 400 block of Los Angeles Avenue and the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue.

A business was burglarized sometime between March 7 and 10 in the 5800 block of Condor Drive.

The parking lot of the Target Store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue was the scene of an arrest for alleged drug use and possession on March 8. A substance believed to be heroin was involved.

A suspect was cited and released on March 10 for violation of probation. The arrest occurred at the intersection of High Street and Magnolia Street.

On March 10, burglars entered a home in the 400 block of Millard Avenue and stole property.

On March 11, a vandal broke about 20 sprinkler heads at County Trail Park in the 11700 block of Mountain Trail Street. The damage exceeded $400.

On March 11, a man was arrested for allegedly battering his girlfriend, the mother of their 5-week-old child. The suspect was arrested at a restaurant in Simi Valley. The alleged battery took place in the 3900 block of Hitch Boulevard.

Thieves entered a home in the 12400 block of Willow Spring Drive on March 14 and stole property.

On March 14 burglars entered an open garage in the 11600 block of Northdale Drive and removed property.

A business in the 100 block of Poindexter Avenue was burglarized on March 14. Two men were seen leaving the scene of the crime.

A theft took place on March16 in the 2600 block of Marvella Court.

On March 16, during investigation of a non-injury accident at Spring Road and E. Los Angeles Avenue, one of the individuals involved was found to have two out-of-county felony warrants and to be under the influence of an illegal drug.

Incidents of a person driving without a license or a suspended license took place at the dates and places indicated: March 11 in an unidentified area of Moorpark; March 13 at Spring Road and Flinn Avenue; March 14 at Spring Road and High Street; March 16 at Spring Road and E. Los Angeles Avenue.

Incidents of graffiti/vandalism took place at the dates and places indicated: sometime between March 7 and 11 in the 4700 block of Moorpark Avenue; March 8 in the 12700 block of Tierra Rejada Road; March 9 in the area of Campus Park Drive at Julliard Avenue; March 15 in the 4300 block of Robinwood Lane; March 16 in the 100 block of Leta Yancy Road.

Incidents of car burglary/vandalism: March 10 in the 4200 block of Laurelhurst Road; March 15 in the 4700 block of Justin Court; March 16 in the 100 block of Everett Street; March 16 near the intersection of Hollyglen and Poppyglen courts.
