Easter family fun events set for Arroyo Vista Park

Children are invited to bring their favorite basket to Moorpark's annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sat., March 22 at the football field in Arroyo Vista Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark.

Attractions are open from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and include pony rides, a petting farm, face painting, spring-themed carnival games, crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The admission booth will open at 9:45 a.m.

More than 12,000 colored eggs will be spread over the grass fields for the egg hunts. All children who participate in the egg hunts will receive a prize, regardless of the number of eggs they find.

A special addition this year will be silver eggs, in recognition of the city's silver anniversary of incorporation. Children who find a silver egg will be awarded an additional prize.

Egg hunts are scheduled as follows:

•10:30 a.m.: Elementary ages 6 to 8, no parents.

•10:45 a.m.: Big Kids ages 9 and up, no parents.

•11:15 a.m.: Parent and Me for ages 3 and under with parent.

•11:30 a.m.: Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten ages 3 to 5, parents okay.

•Noon: All Tots ages 4 and under, parents okay.

•12:15 p.m.: School Kids ages 5 and up, no parents.
