Sheriff's Blotter Sometime between Jan. 21 and 31 someone stole a credit card and attempted to purchase items using the card on Feb. 20 in the 4700 block of Avedon Road. On Feb. 15 someone took items from the Vons Store at 4200 Tierra Rejada Road without paying for them. A deputy on night patrol on Feb. 20 near the intersection of Moorpark Avenue and Second Street was forced to slow to avoid hitting a bicyclist who crossed in front of him. The bike had no lights. The cyclist was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested. On Feb. 21 burglars cut the padlocks on two storage bins in the 600 block of Patriot Drive and stole construction tools. On Feb. 21 a known suspect called a pharmacy using someone else's identity to purchase drugs. The victim lives in the 30 block of West Los Angeles Avenue. Signs were stolen from a wooden fence on Feb. 22 in the 4300 block of North Woodglen Drive. A trespasser was reported on Feb. 22 in the backyard of a residence in the 60 block of Third Street. Thieves stole a credit card from someone in the 12600 block of Spring Creek Court and used it on Feb. 22 to purchase items online. A mailbox in the 15500 block of Borges Drive was knocked over on Feb. 23. On Feb. 23 in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue two thieves attempted to remove a cartload of property without paying for it. An unknown male suspect stabbed someone in the back with a knife on Feb. 23 in the 13800 block of Princeton Avenue. Two suspects were arrested after an attempted a burglary on Feb. 23 at a store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Someone stole a bicycle from a private garage in the 13000 block of East Vista Park Drive on Feb. 23. On Feb 24 a person in the 50 block of Majestic Court was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe and under the influence of a controlled substance. A person broke a restraining order on Feb. 24 by repeatedly calling someone living in the 400 block of Bard Street. A home in the 6500 block of Penn Street was the scene of a burglary on Feb. 24, when someone smashed a window and took property. Two young passengers in a car stopped for a traffic violation on Feb. 25 in an unspecified area of Moorpark were each found to be in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Vehicle break-ins/burglaries were reported on the following dates and places: Feb. 15 in the 200 block of Science Drive, Feb. 20 in the 15900 block of Arroyo Drive, Feb. 21 in the 4300 block of Amberwick Lane, Feb. 22 in the 15100 block of Happy Camp Road, Feb. 23 in the 6400 block of Penn Street. An incident of DUI took place on Feb. 24 at Shadow Wood and Mammoth Peak drives. Incidents of graffiti/vandalism took place on the following dates and places: Feb. 17 in the 200 block of Moorpark Avenue, Feb. 18 in the 10 block of West Los Angeles Avenue, Feb. 19 in the 300 block of High Street, Feb. 20 in the 50 block of West Los Angeles Avenue.
Incidents of a person driving without a license or a suspended license took place on the following dates and places: Feb. 16 at Tierra Rejada and Peach Hill roads, Feb. 20 at the intersection of Moorpark Avenue and Second Street, Feb. 20 at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue around Park Lane, Feb. 20 at the intersection of Spring Road and Los Angeles Avenue, Feb. 21 at the 118 Highway and Leta Yancy Road, Feb. 21 at the intersection of Los Angeles and Moorpark avenues, Feb. 22 in the 100 block of Los Angeles Avenue, Feb. 25 at Buttercreek Road and Los Angeles Avenue. |
