Sheriff's Blotter On Feb. 19 a known suspect shoplifted items from a store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. A door-to-door salesman was found operating in the 700 block of Pecan Avenue on Feb. 18 with no city business permit or identification. On Feb. 15 a commercial business in the 5800 block of Condor Drive was burglarized. Someone entered a home on Feb. 16 in the 11800 block of Silvercrest Street and stole property. A nursery in the 2000 block of Tierra Rejada Road was burglarized on Feb. 15. Plant fertilizer and plastic plant containers were stolen. On Feb. 15 Moorpark Country Club reported that someone had stolen a flag from the fifth hole of the golf course in the 11800 block of Championship Drive. A petty theft was reported on Feb. 15 in the 200 block of Los Angeles Avenue after someone took property from an individual without the victim's permission. A store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue was the target of shoplifters on Feb. 15 and again on Feb. 18. On Feb. 13 the rims and tires were stolen off the car of an individual living in the 4600 block of Peppermill Street. Someone selling door-to-door in the 14100 block of Maya Circle on Feb. 13 was stopped for selling without a license. On Feb. 13 someone was stopped in the process of shoplifting from a store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Both felony and misdemeanor charges were brought against a person who punched someone in the mouth. The incident took place in the 4500 block of Tierra Rejada Road on Feb. 13. With the intent of taking money from a cash register inside, suspects forced their way into an office trailer in the 2000 block of Tierra Rejada Road on Feb. 12. Sometime between Feb. 6 and 12, someone entered a locked secondstory window of a home in the 4400 block of Summerglen Court and stole property Someone stole property from a home in the 100 block of Wicks Road between Feb. 6 and 13. Someone was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on Feb. 15 in the 60 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Sometime between Nov. 25 and Dec. 31 last year, someone stole a firearm from a business office in the 5200 block of Commerce Avenue. The theft was reported to authorities on Feb. 12. On Feb. 8, a man was arrested for battering his father with his bare hands. The incident took place in the 14900 block of Reedley Street. Someone walked out of a store in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road on Feb. 7 with stolen property. On Feb. 26 someone walked out of a store in the 700 block of Los Angeles Ave without paying for merchandise. A person obtained a money order using deceit on Feb. 1 from a business in the 800 block of East Los Angeles Avenue. On Feb. 15 a man was cited and released for drinking in public in front of the Ralphs store on Los Angeles Avenue. Someone entered a store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue, pushed several boxes of cologne into the waistband of his pants, then walked out of the store without paying. The incident took place on Feb. 13. On Feb. 12 in the 1000 block of Tierra Rejada Road a man was stopped and arrested for transporting roosters for the purpose of cockfighting. Someone overdosed on a controlled substance on Feb. 11 in the 600 block of Spring Road and was taken to a Simi Valley hospital. On Feb. 6 a young person was arrested for shoplifting a beanie from a store in the 700 block of Los Angeles Avenue. Vehicle breakins/burglary were reported on the following dates and places: Feb. 15 in the 11700 block of Mountain Trail Street, Feb. 12 in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue, Feb. 12 in the 4500 block of Tierra Rejada Road and Feb. 10 in the 1300 block of Peach Hill Road. Incidents of grafitti/vandalism were reported on the following dates and places: Between Feb. 15 and 19 in the 30 block of Flory Avenue, Feb. 14 in the 14400 block of East Amherst Street and Feb. 13 in the College Heights area south of Westwood. Incidents of driving without a license or with a suspended license were reported as follows: three incidents on Feb. 16 in unspecified areas of Moorpark, Feb. 15 at Los Angeles Avenue and Miller Parkway, Feb. 12 at Princeton and Spring Road, Feb. 8 on Leta Yancy Road at James Weak Avenue (allegedly driving in the dark with no headlights). |
