Recipe of the week
Quiche pie
10 slices bacon, fried crisp,
crumbled
1 medium onion, sliced thin,
fried in bacon drippings until
clear
2-1/2 cups milk
6 eggs, beaten but not foamy
1 8-ounce package sharp
cheese, shredded, save half to
put on top
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 cup cooked broccoli or
18-ounce package frozen
chopped spinach, drained.
Mix all together and place in a 9-inch pie shell. Put half of cheese on the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
