Packer Cheer team wins at competition

Moorpark Packer Cheerleaders

The Moorpark Packer Cheer competition team won many awards at the recent JAMZ Nationals Youth Cheerleading Competition in Las Vegas.

The team members' routine scored 90.6 out of 100 to bring home a first place trophy and a National Championship title in the Show Cheer Youth III, Level II division.

The team was also allowed to redo a routine that experienced technical difficulties when the music stopped during the performance. The judges allowed the girls to redo the routine and they won second in Youth III, Level II, Performance Cheer.

The team members who competed are Haley Adelman, Hollie Beam, Anjelyssa Cervantes, Kelly Chapek, Kelly Cole, Kelsey Daehlin, Julianna Dietz, Jocelynn Flores, Katie Gasbeck, Abbey Halpert, Victoria Hansen, Olivia Hess, Rachel Hess, Hayley Hursey, Elizabeth Lemerand, Jessica Marnien, Valerie Moran, Shannon Morse, Hannah Olsberg, Jacqueline Rahhal, Ashley Tremblay, Adrianna Valdivia, Clarissa Velasquez, Victoria Velasquez and Jennifer Zybert.

Erica Dodd, Emily Beam and Cherie Beam are on the coaching staff.
