Moorpark woman wins in charity raffle

Janet Weaver of Moorpark recently won $1,000 in the second early bird drawing of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme's House of Ten Thousand Dreams Home Raffle.

Weaver was one of seven winners, all of whom are still entered to win additional cash prizes for the third early bird drawing, as well as the grand prize of a new water-view home in the Seabridge community at Channel Islands Harbor or $1 million cash.

Raffle proceeds will help the club, which currently serves 7,000 youth, reach its goal of expanding to serve 10,000 children.
