On Jan. 3 a prowler was reported going through the contents of a boat stored on private property in the 1100 block of Walnut Canyon Road. Officers responding to the call found a man lying on his stomach in a wash 200 feet from the boat owner's home. During a field lineup, the victim positively identified the suspect, who had given officers a false name. The suspect had two outstanding warrants. He was arrested for the boat burglary and the warrants.

On Jan. 14 a person was stopped for riding a bicycle at night without a light in the 12400 block of Spring Road. The bike rider was found to be in possession of a credit card belonging to another person. That person was called and no charges had been made against the card.

A vandal entered a private property in the 8700 block of Waters Road between Jan. 25 and 28 and drilled a hole into the side of a whirlpool bathtub.

A scooter was stolen from a victim in the 4700 block of Moorpark Avenue on Jan. 27.

A thief entered a small shed on Jan. 28 in the 6400 block of North Berkeley Circle and took clothing without permission.

On Jan. 28 a man on a probation curfew was stopped and cited for being in violation of that curfew. The incident took place in the 400 block of Los Angeles Avenue.

A driver was stopped on Jan. 29 in an undisclosed area of Moorpark. He and two passengers were found to be in possession of marijuana. All three were cited and released.

On Jan. 29 a known suspect stole merchandise from a store in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road.

A known suspect entered a store on Jan. 30 in the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road, took two bottles of tequila off the shelf and left the store without paying. The suspect was later found and taken into custody.

Shoplifters entered a store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue on Jan. 30 and placed clothing from the rack into a bag. Upon leaving the store without paying, the suspects were confronted in the parking lot.

During a search on Jan. 31 based on a report of drug activity in a car parked in the 800 block of East Los Angeles Avenue, deputies discovered several glass pipes used to smoke methamphetamine. Marijuana was found in a suspect's purse. The driver was cited for possession of the drug and paraphernalia.

A glass pipe was discovered in another car searched in the same parking lot on Jan. 31 in the 800 bock of East Los Angeles Avenue. The driver of that car was cited for possession of paraphernalia.

On Jan. 31, during an investigation of a car accident at the intersection of Spring Road and High Street, the driver of one of the cars involved was found to be driving without a license.

Between Feb. 1 and 8 someone stole items from a home in the 15100 block of Marquette Street.

A report came in on Feb. 1 that marijuana smoke was being emitted from a car with four people, parked in front of a residence in the 11800 block of Barletta Street. Upon investigation, one of the passengers was found to be in possession of marijuana and was cited and released.

Someone entered a residence on Feb. 2 in the 11500 block of Chestnut Ridge Street and stole property.

On Feb. 4 a driver was observed making a right through a red light at the intersection of High Street and Spring Road, while pulling a trailer not outfitted with brake lights. It was discovered that the car's brakes had failed at the intersection. The driver was given a citation.

Incidents of graffiti/vandalism took place at the dates and places indicated: Jan. 24 in an unspecified area of Moorpark, Jan. 27 in the 15100 block of Happy Camp Canyon Road, Jan. 28 at the north side of the north wall of the 118 near the intersection of Westwood Street and College Heights Drive, Jan. 29 in the 30 block of Flory Avenue.

Vehicle break-ins/burglaries were reported on the dates and places indicate: Jan. 30 in the 4300 block of Cedardale Road, Jan. 31 in the 15100 block of Marquette Street, Jan. 30 in the 11500 block of Flowerwood Court, Feb. 1 in the 1300 block of View Mesa Street, Feb. 1 in the 400 block of W. Los Angeles Avenue.

Incidents of a person driving without a license or a suspended license took place at the dates and places indicated: Jan. 27 in the 6400 block of East Westwood Street, Jan. 28 in an undisclosed area of Moorpark, Jan. 29 at the intersection of Princeton Avenue and Campus Park Drive, Jan. 29 at the intersection of Spring Road and the 118, Jan. 29 at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and Leta Yancy Road, Jan. 30 on Amherst Street and Princeton Avenue, Jan. 30 at the intersection of Leta Yancy Road and Los Angeles Avenue, Feb. 1 in the 400 block of High Street, Feb. 2 in the 300 block of West Los Angeles Avenue and Moorpark Road, Feb. 2 in the 300 block of West Los Angeles Avenue.

DUI incidents took place at the dates and places indicated: Jan. 31 at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and the 23 Freeway, driver was also driving without a license; Jan. 31 in the 300 block of West Los Angeles Avenue.
