Musicians chosen for honor band

The California Band Directors Association has announced that Brandon Choi, Nicholas Baltaxe and Garret Reynolds of Moorpark have been selected to participate in the 2008 California All-Stage Honor Bands, held in conjunction with the California Band Directors Association annual convention on Feb. 21 to 24 in Fresno.

The students are members of the Chaparral Middle School Symphonic and Jazz Bands under the direction of Julie Judd.

About 1,500 students throughout the state auditioned.
