Parents may learn about local schools

K-8 Parent Information Nights are scheduled for the elementary and middle schools in the Moorpark Unified School District. Materials and information concerning school philosophies, identities and programs will be provided at the meetings.

Following is the schedule of information nights. Call the individual school for more information and also for dates and times of school tours.

Parents interested in having their children attend a school outside their regular attendance area my pick up a Parental Choice Transfer Request from their local school or the district office. The application deadline is Feb. 29; late applications will not be considered. Parents must provide transposition for attendance at a school outside attendance area boundaries.

If a child is currently on a Parental Choice Transfer and will not be remaining at the school, parents are urged to notify the school office manager as soon as possible.

Residents of the school district may apply to enroll their children in any district school regardless of attendance area boundaries; however, students in the local residence area will have first priority and the district may not be able to honor all requests.
