Euphony to perform school benefit at The Canyon club

Euphony with Randy Thompson will perform 7 p.m. Sun., Jan. 27 at The Canyon club in Agoura Hills.

Actor and comedian Randy Thompson's new group, Euphony, includes musicians David Johnson, Matt Finders, Ken Deans, Greg Fried, Victor Bisetti and Greg Pineda. Finders plays trombone on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Thompson, who has composed music for movies, television and commercials, majored in jazz composition at Indiana University. His musical influences come from jazz, rock, blues and classical.

Euphony uses creative tempo changes, key changes and instrumental combinations "designed to evoke an emotional response and engross the listener."

A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Agoura High School Music Boosters.
