Recipe of the week Preheat oven to 350. Shred cheese. In a 2-quart saucepan melt butter over low heat. Blend in flour. Add milk all at once. Cook stirring constantly until thickened. Add shredded cheese, salt and pepper. Continue stirring and cooking until cheese melts. Remove from heat. Spread half of cheese sauce in bottom of a 2-1/2 quart baking dish. Arrange potatoes and onions over sauce layer and top with remaining cheese. Spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until potatoes are done. - Joyce Barnett |
