At The Library

  • Family Story Time this month is Sun., Jan. 13 from 3 to 4 p.m. the Moorpark City Library, 699 Moorpark Ave.

    The event will feature storytelling, reading stories and poetry, refreshments, and a craft project. The whole family is invited.

    Due to the Martin Luther King Day and Presidents' Day holiday weekends, story times for January and February are moved a week ahead. The regular schedule will resume on Sun., March 16.

  • The library presents its first Brown Bag Lunch speaker from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 24 at the library.

    Tedi Tate, Moorpark horsewoman, will give a presentation on "Six Thousand Years of Horses."

    Participants are invited to bring a lunch. Refreshments will be served.

  • The library is offering an origami workshop for grades 5 through 8 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wed., Jan. 23. Eriko Jacobs and Akemi Wilson teach the Japanese art of paper folding.
