America's Teaching Zoo is hosting the inaugural Arctic Lights event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Dec. 20 and 21 at the zoo on the campus of Moorpark College, 7075 Campus road.

The students and staff of the Exotic Animal Training and Management program will help educate the public about the Arctic environment and species affected by global warming.

The event will include real snow, activities for all ages, music, a sunset animal show, holiday lights and more.

Entrance fee is $5 for adults and $4 for children.
