The American Red Cross of Ventura County will host a fundraising dinner from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 23 at the Secret Garden, 255 E. High St., Moorpark.

Chef Michel and Laurea Bardavid, owners of the Secret Garden, will prepare a threecourse gourmet dinner served in an outdoor garden setting. Herzog Wine Cellars of Oxnard will donate dinner wines.

The evening will include a reception with no host bar and appetizers, dinner, silent auction, and music.

The cost is $75. Reservations are required. All of the event profits will stay in Ventura County to benefit the work of the local chapter volunteers.
