City Council did the right thing
      Last week I wrote about Councilmembers Van Dam, Millhouse and Parvin and their desire to change city code to allow them to appoint someone to the City Council without a vote of the people. Pushing politics
      As my children were enjoying Homecoming during my daughter's last year at Moorpark High School and all the wonderful things that brings, they arrived at their cars to find hate literature on every windshield. Yes, there is a right of freedom of speech but this is going too far.

AYSO needs to let these girls play

City Council acts too powerful
      There it is, baldly stated, Mark Van Dam's unabashed expression of his belief that the people don't count. The Moorpark Acorn quotes him, "Voters depend on our ability to make decisions for the city." The voters never passed any such ordinance. However, it is the universal conviction of city council members.
