How to submit vote by mail ballots

Ventura County residents who wish to vote by mail must request the ballots by Oct. 28. The application form is on the back of the sample ballot that was already mailed to voters.Vote By Mail ballots can also be requested in writing to Ventura County Elections Division, Hall of Administration, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, CA 93009.

The ballot for the Nov. 4 presidential general election is two cards. Voters may return their ballots by one of the following methods:

•U.S. Mail first class postage of 59 cents.

•Drop off at the city clerk's office in any city hall in the county.

•Return the completed ballots to the Ventura County Elections Division between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.

•Drop off at any Ventura County polling place on Election Day.

All ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. Tues., Nov. 4 to be counted. Postmarks do not count.
