I am responding to Moorpark Unified School District Superintendent Ellen Smith's article "Regarding school at Highlands," Sept. 19. Highlands residents appreciate Ms. Smith taking the time to address homeowners' questions and concerns. More ... In regards to your article "Regarding schools at Highland," Sept. 19, I believe the bigger issue is of why we are not refunded our tax dollars when there is no intention of a school being built at Moorpark Highlands. The excuse for not refunding our money is the scheme of a binding contract to purchase this land. This is a very transparent excuse. More ... Bravo, my fellow Moorparkians.
