Church to bless pets Sunday
      St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church will host its annual Blessing of the Animals service at 10:15 a.m. Sun., Oct. 5 outdoors on the church lawn at 280 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. The Rev. Steven Dean, vicar, will bless each pet during the service.
