Moorpark Campus Plaza will host its grand opening on Fri. and Sat., Sept. 26 to 27.

The center is on the intersection of Collins Drive and Campus Park Drive near the Collins Drive off ramp at the 118 Freeway.

College Day will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Fri., Sept. 26. Moorpark College students may participate in the raffle drawing for a 32-inch flat panel LCD high definition TV, notebook computer and iPod touch.

Family Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Sept. 27. Activities include free rock climbing, live music, inflatables, face painting, arts and crafts tables and store giveaways.

The center features Mediterranean-style architecture, stucco exterior, tile roofs and natural rock accents.

The 61,419-square-foot, multitenant retail and office center has three newly-constructed buildings and a freestanding McDonald's restaurant.

Existing retailers are McDonald's, Starbucks, Pita Pit, Juice It Up, Quizno's, NT Nail Spa, Daria Jade Salon, Soul Body Yoga, Kopy King, Off-Campus Bookstore, Arcangel Fightshop, Accu-Prints, Nielsen Bingham Insurance and Vienna Bagels and Donuts.

Stores scheduled to open in the future are Garlic Jim's Pizza, Dolce Mango Yogurt, Chronic Tacos and Joanne's Cleaners.
