Appalled by legal advertisements

Why is it that in the light of the most horrific tragedies the parasites come out in droves.

For example, advertisements in last weeks Moorpark Acorn by vampires such as The Mandell Law Firm (half page), Seegmiller-Johnson (half page) and Masry & Vititoe (full page) seek to make money from these tragedies. In most cases these parasites advertise even before the victims have been laid to rest.

In Sunday's Ventura Star, there were at least seven large ads directed to the bereaved families of the victims and survivors.

In the end, the lawyers make most of the money, not those they claim to represent. One law firm, Seegmiller-Johnson, is not even local, being in Newport Beach and Las Vegas, but still trying to extend their tentacles in this area.

How these companies can have any conscience or selfrespect by preying on people devastated by disastrous events is beyond me. Tom Duck Moorpark
